PREPARING FOR YOUR BOUDOIR REVEAL APPOINTMENT!

Boudoir, Prep Tips

The fun and excitement doesn’t end once we stop shooting. We’ll break for an hour-ish and you’ll come back for your reveal session and design your album! What is a reveal session you ask? You get to see your boudoir images, select your favorites and design your album – layout, fabrics etc. It’s one of my favorite parts of the boudoir process for a few reasons.

Reason #1 – You are empowered to make decisions without having to please anyone. One of the first things we’ll do is go through ALL of your photos (about 70-90) in a first-round where you tell me “yes” or “no.” One thing the boudoir reveal has taught me is that yes and no are full/complete sentences. There is no need to ruminate on what you don’t like about a photo, you can simply move on. There is beauty in that. Round one and round two are for choosing your final selection of images.

Reason #2 – You are a part of the album design process. I designed my boudoir reveal sessions to specifically include you in this process because your vision, voice, and preference is the MOST important thing to me. I am here to guide you, give you my feedback and suggestions and help you see different layouts/configurations but I love watching my KB Babes make decisions and realize that they have a really incredible creative eye! I’ll often hear things like “oh I am the worst at making decisions” when I tell them how we design their boudoir album together but we don’t give ourselves enough credit. You will easily be able to make decisions because I am here to support you and also have a few tricks up my sleeve ; )

Reason #3 – You are encouraged to leave your “I’m sorry” at the door. During your boudoir reveal session, I will show you about 70-90 images. Depending on the collection you chose, you may want to narrow it down if it’s not in your boudoir to add on addition images. One of the things I hear a lot is “I’m sorry can you go back” or “I’m sorry can I see that image again” and I am here to tell you that you DO NOT need to apologize. Take the I’m sorry out of those questions. Actually, take the I’m sorry out of any sentence where you communicate what you want.

Reason #4 – You will leave your boudoir reveal appointment feeling like the beautiful woman that you are. Walking into that appointment, you may feel nervous. During my own boudoir photo experience, I was MORE nervous to see the photos than I was taking them. Nakedness? Not a problem here. Seeing myself?! I felt like I was going to vomit. But that truly goes away once you see your boudoir vision come to life.

Reason #5 – Lemme upgrade yaaa! It’s very common for my KB Babes to want MORE than they initially thought they would. Collection 1 & 2 includes a limited number of photos but not being able to narrow it down is a really good problem to have. We can talk about the ways to upgrade your collection so you get everything you want out of this boudoir photography experience.
