Recently I’ve been getting a lot of aspiring boudoir photographers reaching out to ask if I offer any mentoring services. Before I answer that question, let me just tell you how unbelievably honored I am that you look up to me as a boudoir mentor. I started my boudoir business just a little over a year ago and it has totally taken off! Sometimes, I don’t even know how to articulate what worked for me but I know my background in mental health and education coupled with my passion for boudoir photography might lead me down the road of mentorship.

I started my own photography journey by sending an email just the ones I’ve been receiving lately to a photographer I really admired (shoutout to Alex) and learned as much as I could from her through an internship/apprenticeship type position. It was an incredible experience and I feel so giddy at the idea that I could be that for someone else!

Although I left education physically, the educator in me will forever live on. Right now, I don’t have any formal mentorship opportunities available but please know I’m dreaming up ideas for the future on how I can help other photographers pursue their own boudoir dreams.

To start, I’ve added a section to my blog titled “For Photographers” where I’ll be adding helpful information and resources that allowed me to leave my job as a School Counselor and run a six-figure boudoir business within my first year.
