Should I do my boudoir shoot on the day of my makeup trial?

Boudoir, Helpful Resources, Prep Tips

This KB Boudoir bride to be had a beautiful session that felt like a dream. She brought personal touches like her bridal robe, Jimmy Choo strappy diamond embellished wedding shoes and a combo of outfits that allowed for so many looks.

The day started with hair and makeup. We kept a soft glam and loose curls for a natural but elevated look. Often times I’ll get asked “can I come in for my session the day I get my hair and makeup trial done for my wedding?” The short answer is “no.” Here’s the long answer:

First, your wedding hair and makeup will be very different from your boudoir looks. My style tends to keep things classic, simple so that your photos feel…well…like you.

Second, hair and makeup is a critical part of the day…for all of us. Most likely you’re going to be nervous when you get to the studio. Your time to settle into the makeup chair is our change to relax, chat and get comfortable. So many people’s nerves ease up by the time they’re done. I’d hate to miss out on that time together.

Last but not least, I am obsessed with my makeup artists. They color match skin to perfection and glam you up in a way that feels natural. Chances are your bridal makeup will be a bit heavier and maybe even more dramatic.

So let us pamper you for the day. Show up as you are and we’ll take care of the rest.
